Nordic Monsters: A Bestiary of Scandinavian Legends

Hi all, 

Nordic Monsters (PF2) also just cleared approvals at the printer, and we have submitted ANOTHER big wave of print orders heading out to backers Friis, Schatz, Diffley, Osburn, Haidner, Nasif, Tippets, Fracchiolla, Jager, Taylor, Moscatello, Mikesell, Flanagan, Donde, Elkins, Graham, Walkup, Jung, Drysdale, Morgann, von Spreckelsen, Walklate, Thomas, Brackett, Maynard, Klug, Blake, Lenz, Letourneau, Bishop, Muhlmeyer, Prest, Moll, Minot, Ammerman, Lacambre, Thomson, Caban, Van Wie, McCutcheon, Hunter, Harter, Woods, Mayenfels, Stanton, Lefholz, Laporte, Cooke, and Jahncke. As we mentioned on the previous update, these books will probably arrive around the end of the month, given the time to print and ship. 

This is the last big batch of shipments to go out until our print run of Nordic Monsters (5.5E) arrives at LG, which is currently estimated for December 2026. Once they land here, we'll get books set up with our distributor and also be packing and shipping from us directly, including both backers getting only that book as well as orders including that one among others from our supply. I have emailed a few folks with discrepancies in their order or questions about credit cards, so please check your email to see if you have anything from us about Nordic Monsters so we can resolve those and get your rewards headed your way! 

We appreciate all of your support in making this bestiary project come to life and we hope you are looking forward to our next monster book in the Legendary Bestiaries series next year. We're still considering options, but right now I think we're probably leaning towards it being Ancient Monsters, featuring creatures from the cultures of the ancient lands around the Eastern Mediterranean and SW Asia like Egypt, Arabia, Persia, Mesopotamia, and Türkiye. 

That said, we've got some other ideas as well, and you can vote in the poll below! Or if you've got another request, put it in the comments! 

Nordic Tales of the Valiant print approved! Another wave of prints is heading out!

We're pleased to announce that Nordic Monsters (Tales of the Valiant) cleared approvals and we've submitted a ton of print orders for you! Backers Jurcenko, Bailey, Schulte, Wilkerson, R. Jackson, Rossomando, Handfield, Allis, Bryan, Druon, M. Gonzalez, Rummel, Swope, Huggins, Dawkins, Secaur, Agee, Halttunen, Gould, Jo. Adams, Efird, Fleming, Oliveira, Voss, Acosta, & De Oliveira, your orders have been submitted and will be on their way soon! 

In addition to getting those ToV orders submitted, we also went through our spreadsheet again and cross-checked orders that have some items coming by Print on Demand (with the already printed items shipping later once Nordic Monsters (5E) arrives from our printer in Hong Kong). The following backers have partial orders submitted and will be on their way to you soon, with the remaining books shipping later from our supply: Bordenick, Nicholson, Mei, Griis, Glorius, Walter, Green, Yost, Christophe, Alexander, Götz, Wernig, Staley, Ruffing, Stroin, Armetta, Parks, Schuermann, Jo. WIlson, Sahm, Saliaris, Foxx, Franczyk, Nilsson, Berry, Dixon, Conard, McNerney, Reynolds, Petersen, Ross, Spalding, Meslin, Reixachs, Morel, Shepard, and Dalmas!

It usually takes 7-10 days between when we submit print orders and they ship, so if you see your name expect to see your books coming around the end of the month! We will keep you updated on print progress with the 5.5E edition, but right now it looks like those should arrive to LG sometime in December.

Hi all,

The fourth and final version of Nordic Monsters is now up and available for download on your Backerkit account and in your DrivethruRPG downloads! We thank everyone for your patience as we got all four versions of this beautiful bestiary ready for you! We've sent the files over to our Foundry folks, and they'll start working on it ASAP! The VTT versions of Nordic Monsters (Roll20 for D&D 5E, Foundry for PF2, and Fantasy Grounds for PF1) are all in progress and we look forward to getting those out to you as they become available! 

Of course, as we close one project we are delighted to invite you to another. We've already shouted out our Ultimate Horror Kickstarter for D&D 5.5E, PF1, and PF2, and if you haven't already checked it out we hope you do because it is going to be SCARY AWESOME, including tons of terrific horror material plus companion campaign compendiums for any kind of campaign you would ever want to run! Hi all,

We're pleased to announce that Nordic Monsters (Tales of the Valiant) is now available for you in your Backerkit downloads and in your Backerkit account! Head to either place (or both) and grab this beautiful bestiary for your ToV game! 

We're also delighted that our plan to split layout on the final two versions worked out so quickly, with both versions getting a rocket boost to the finish! I've received the full layout PF2 version and done two proofing passes on it, finishing the second this morning. That layout artist is on a brief family trip but will be back to work on it Sunday or Monday, so we should have the final version ready for you right after that (and get the completed version over to our Foundry folks)! 

And of course, we also want to invite you to check out our Ultimate Horror Kickstarter, which is live right NOW and just a whisker away from our SECOND stretch goal already! Hi all,

Just wanted to pass on the happy news that our layout guys are burning rocket fuel and I've already done the proofing pass on the completed Tales of the Valiant version of Nordic Monsters, so we should be able to send out the final version in the next few days! The PF2 version is also cruising along and should be ready for proofing in the coming days and should be ready to go final next week! We're excited to get these final versions ready for you (and to be able to send the PF2 version over to our Foundry folks to start working on that)!
